Programs Coordinator
Angela Watkins has been employed with the Aztec Public Library for about eight months. She is in charge of circulation and assists with programming. Angela was born and raised in Louisiana and attended the Nicholls State University, where she received an equivalent of an associate’s degree. Angela loves to read and operates her own freedom library, and is passionate about the Constitution and the freedoms it guarantees us. She also loves to fly and cook. Angela is a mother of two and a mentor to many. She has taught Black History at schools and the library. Angela’s personal vision, I like the idea of having a library that will feature a patio where you can enjoy the warmth of sunlight while having a cup of coffee, exchange of conversation about books with friends or staff.” Angela keeps in touch with circulation concerns and develops circulation policy.  Angela’s rich Southern cultural heritage, love for research and human rights brings an interesting flare to the library.
